Garden State Parkway (153–159) serves Clifton and Passaic; the exits we meet cars at are Garden State Parkway Exit 153, Garden State Parkway Exit 154 and Garden State Parkway Exit 155. In Passaic: Exits 153 and 154 in Clifton are the nearest ramps. In Clifton: Exits 153, 154 and 155 serve the city; the Route 3 interchange at 153 backs up daily and the shoulders are narrow.

On the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway the shoulder itself is served by the Turnpike Authority's authorized garages; book with us anyway, and once the authorized truck has the car off the highway we take it from the exit or the garage's lot to the shop or driveway you choose, at the same flat quoted price.

Route 21 runs through or borders Clifton and Passaic. In Clifton: Runs along the Passaic River on the east side toward Passaic and Newark; high speed with almost no shoulder. In Passaic: Runs along the river through the city toward Newark and Clifton; no shoulders and fast traffic, so breakdowns block a lane. Exits we use: Route 21 at Monroe Street / Passaic Avenue.

Route 46 runs through or borders Clifton, Little Falls, Woodland Park, Totowa and Wayne. In Clifton: The northern retail corridor with shopping plazas and dealers; jughandles and tight shoulders. In Little Falls: Runs across the township with shopping plazas and the Route 23 interchange; jughandles and short merges. Exits we use: Route 3 at Route 46 / Bloomfield Avenue and Route 46 at Route 23 (Wayne / Little Falls).

Route 3 serves Clifton. In Clifton: Runs across the southern part of the city toward the Meadowlands and the Lincoln Tunnel; short merges and stalled cars near the Parkway interchange. Exits we use: Route 3 at Route 46 / Bloomfield Avenue.

I-80 runs through or borders Paterson, Little Falls, Woodland Park, Totowa, Haledon and Wayne. In Paterson: Runs through the southern part of the city with exits 56 through 58; the ramps and the Route 20 interchange are the busiest breakdown spots. In Little Falls: The nearest interstate ramps are at the Route 23 interchange. Exits we use: I-80 Exit 56 (Squirrelwood Road), I-80 Exit 57 (Route 19 / Downtown), I-80 Exit 58 (Madison Avenue), I-80 Exit 53 (Route 23, Wayne border) and I-80 Exit 55 (Union Boulevard / Totowa).

Route 23 runs through or borders Little Falls, Totowa and Wayne. In Wayne: The main retail and dealer corridor through the township; jughandles and a long grade past Packanack. In Little Falls: The nearest interstate ramps are at the Route 23 interchange. Exits we use: Route 46 at Route 23 (Wayne / Little Falls) and I-80 Exit 53 (Route 23, Wayne border).

Route 20 runs through or borders Paterson and Prospect Park. In Prospect Park: The nearest highway, reached through Paterson's Northside. In Paterson: The riverside highway along the eastern edge toward Fair Lawn and Elmwood Park; fast with narrow shoulders. Exits we use: Route 20 at Broadway / 5th Avenue, Route 20 via Paterson and Route 20 at Broadway (Paterson).

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority allows only its authorized garages to tow or work on the shoulder of the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway, and we are not one of them yet.
