Commercial towing

Commercial towing and roadside assistance for New Jersey businesses: box trucks, vans, buses and contractor vehicles, dispatched from Linden 24/7

If your business runs vehicles, a breakdown costs you a delivery window, a driver's hours and sometimes a load. We dispatch the right truck from Linden, quote the price before it rolls, and take the unit to your yard or your shop.

Commercial vehicle towing

Towing and roadside for businesses with vehicles on New Jersey roads

We tow and service delivery vans, box trucks, contractor and landscaping trucks, buses and tractors for businesses within about 45 minutes of Linden, with the same 24/7 dispatch and quote-first pricing as every call.

Commercial calls are dispatched exactly like every other call: a dispatcher answers at (908) 444-0129, asks the right questions, quotes one price, and sends the nearest truck that can lift your unit. The detail for larger vehicles is on the heavy duty towing page.

Delivery vans and cargo vans

Sprinter, Transit and ProMaster vans, step vans and cutaways. Many of these calls end as a jump start or a tire change rather than a tow.

Box trucks and straight trucks

From 16-foot cutaway boxes to 26-foot straight trucks and beverage trucks, lifted on a medium-duty wheel-lift or underlift depending on weight and what failed.

Contractor and landscaping vehicles

Service bodies, dump-bed trucks and landscaping rigs, with or without the trailer. A loaded equipment trailer changes the weight, so tell the dispatcher what is on it.

Buses and heavy units

Shuttle and school buses, single and tri-axle dumps, roll-offs and tractors, bobtail or with a trailer, matched to a wrecker rated above the unit's gross weight.

Unit down? Say the vehicle, the weight and the location. The right truck is dispatched and quoted.

Port Newark towing

Commercial towing around Port Newark, Routes 1 & 9, I-78 and Route 22

From Linden our trucks are minutes from Port Newark and Port Elizabeth, the Routes 1 & 9 truck strip and the Carteret to Edison warehouse belt, and work I-78, Route 22, I-287 and Route 3 inside the 45-minute area.

Port Newark and Port Elizabeth

Tractors with a dead battery in line at a terminal, a chassis with a blown tire, a bobtail that lost air. Tell the dispatcher which terminal and gate, and whether the unit is inside the fence or on the public road.

Routes 1 & 9 and the warehouse belt

The truck strip through Linden, Elizabeth and Newark, and the distribution centers through Carteret, Avenel, Port Reading, Woodbridge and Edison. Name the nearest cross street or business.

I-78 and Route 22

Route 22's hills from Union to Watchung and I-78's climb through the Watchungs overheat loaded trucks and cook brakes. Say eastbound or westbound and the nearest exit.

The Turnpike hand-off

Turnpike and Parkway shoulders are served by the Authority's authorized garages. Book with us and we take the car from the exit or the garage's lot.

Say the road, the direction and the nearest exit or cross street.

Commercial towing cost

Commercial towing prices: the same quote-first structure, sized to the truck

A commercial tow is a hook fee sized to the truck class plus a per-mile rate to your destination, with recovery work quoted separately up front, no fuel or after-hours surcharge and no storage.

Hook by truck class, mileage to your destination

A medium-duty hook is more than a car hook and less than a heavy wrecker hook. Mileage runs to your yard, your shop, a dealer or a tire shop, never to our yard.

Recovery, dollies and a second truck

A winch pull from a ditch, dollies under a locked axle or a second truck for a trailer are quoted separately and said on the call. Nothing is added on scene that was not agreed on the phone.

Payment and fleet accounts

Per job by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cash, with an itemized receipt showing the unit, pickup, destination, mileage and service. Businesses that run vehicles in the corridor can set up a fleet account: established accounts get one monthly invoice itemized by unit number with net terms, and new accounts pay per job by card until history is built.

Before you call

What to have ready when you call about a commercial vehicle

Have the exact location, the vehicle type, the GVWR from the door sticker, whether it is loaded and with what, whether it rolls and steers, any trailer, and the destination.

These answers decide which truck is sent and what the quote is. The weight rating and the load matter most: a truck rated for one class cannot safely lift a loaded unit of the next, and a heavy wrecker sent to a van is money wasted.

Location

Road and direction, nearest exit or cross street, or the yard, dock or terminal gate.

Vehicle, weight and load

Make and type, the GVWR from the door sticker, loaded or empty, and roughly what the cargo is. If the box is refrigerated, say so.

What failed and any trailer

Whether it rolls and steers, whether the air system holds, and whether a trailer is attached, loaded, and coming along or being dropped.

Destination

Your yard, your shop, a dealer or a tire shop. For a long run out of the area, long distance towing is quoted as one number including tolls.

Have the door sticker in front of you and the call takes a minute.

Commercial towing guides

Commercial towing by role: fleet managers, trucking companies and delivery drivers

Fleet managers, commercial trucking operators and delivery drivers each have their own page with what to expect and what to say on the call.

The dispatch is the same for everyone; what changes is who is calling and what they need to know. Pick the page that fits, or see every service on the services page.

Not sure which applies? Call and describe the vehicle.

Commercial towing FAQ

Commercial towing questions New Jersey businesses ask

What we tow, how it is priced, what to have ready, fleet accounts and the Turnpike.

What commercial vehicles do you tow?

Box trucks, cutaways, Sprinter, Transit and ProMaster vans, step vans, landscaping and contractor trucks, shuttle and school buses, dump trucks, roll-offs and tractors, bobtail or with a trailer.

How is commercial towing priced?

The same way as every tow: a hook fee sized to the truck the job needs plus a per-mile rate to your destination, quoted before the truck rolls. Recovery work is quoted separately and said up front. No fuel or after-hours surcharge and no storage.

What should I have ready when I call?

The exact location, the vehicle type, the GVWR from the door sticker, whether it is loaded and with what, whether it rolls and steers, whether a trailer is attached, and where it needs to go.

Do you offer fleet accounts?

Yes. An account keeps your yard addresses, preferred shops and unit list on file and gives your dispatcher a direct line. Established accounts get one monthly invoice itemized by unit number with net terms; new accounts pay per job by card until history is built.

Can you help a truck that broke down on the Turnpike?

The Turnpike shoulder is served by the Turnpike Authority's authorized garages, not by us. Book with us and we take the unit from the exit or the garage's lot to your yard or shop.

Question not here? Dispatch answers it live, 24/7.
