Tip #73: The price you hear on Saturday night should match the one you would hear on Tuesday morning
Nights, weekends and holidays are when drivers are least likely to compare prices and most likely to be charged a premium. A tow price should be the same any day of the week. Ours is.

Call nowWhen premiums tend to appear
Friday nights, long weekends and snowstorms bring the most calls and the most rushed decisions. They are also when weekend rates, holiday rates and storm pricing appear, sometimes on the phone and sometimes only on the bill.
A premium you agree to with your eyes open is a choice. A premium you discover after the car is on the truck is a surprise you had no chance to refuse. The fix is the same either way: ask before the truck is dispatched.

Call nowHow to check
Ask the dispatcher three things. Is this price the same on a weekday? Does it include everything, with nothing added at the car? Will you send it to me in a text? A company with one price answers yes three times.
Then make sure the receipt matches. If it shows a weekend or holiday line that was not in the quote, point to the text and ask for it to be removed.
This matters most in winter. When a storm hits, calls stack up and some companies raise prices for the day. Waits can be longer for everyone in a storm, and an honest dispatcher will tell you that, but the price itself should be the price you would hear on any other day.
Holidays work the same way. A breakdown on the way to a family dinner is stressful enough without a holiday line on the bill, so ask the question even when you are in a hurry.

Call nowOne price, any day
We run 24 hour emergency towing every day of the year from Linden, and the price does not change with the calendar or the clock: a flat hook fee plus mileage to the destination you choose for a tow, and one flat price for roadside jobs. In snow, a winch out is quoted the same way it would be on a dry day.
Call (908) 444-0129 any time and you will hear the total before the truck rolls. Our towing guides cover what to do while you wait, and local towing shows how a nearby run is priced.
